Benjamin Bwamine was born in 16th June 1996 the age of six, he lost his father, shattering his childhood dream of becoming a lawyer
In 2002 he was fortunate to receive sponsorship for his education through Compassion International Uganda. With the support, guidance, and belief of his community, Benjamin was able to pursue his studies and overcome the challenges of his early life.
As he grew older, Benjamin deeply understood the power of support in shaping his journey. After achieving his career goal as a (profession), he turned his focus to the many orphans and vulnerable children in his village who faced the same struggles he once did.
In his own words: “I never forgot where I came from or the hands that helped lift me up. I saw many children in my community living in poverty, with limited or no opportunities for education. I developed a deep belief that no child should ever walk alone on their path to success. This ignited my passion to give back and transform the lives of orphaned children.”
With this vision, Benjamin founded Dorokai Children’s Foundation Uganda to support orphans and vulnerable children in building brighter futures. Today, as the Executive Director, he continues to lead the organization, ensuring that it provides access to quality education, mentorship, spiritual guidance, and healthcare to the most vulnerable children.
